    POSITION PURPOSE

    The Events Planner is responsible for coordinating and executing event activities and initiatives for the Americas in alignment with business strategies, and in support of regional and global business development tactics. This role will coordinate all activities with marketing, regional sales, global business development and outside vendors.

    Develop and coordinate an events calendar for the Americas including tradeshows, local partner shows and meetings, large receptions, etc.

    • Identify requirements and expectations for each event (i.e. tradeshows, partner events, etc.)
    • Brainstorm and implement event concepts and themes.
    • Prepare and maintain event budgets. Process purchase orders and invoices.
    • Research and book venues and hotels.
    • Organize suppliers, caterers, AV, staff and entertainment.
    • Conduct pre-event meetings sharing expectations and plans for the event.
    • Coordinate all logistical elements of the event.
    • Manage set-up, tear-down, and clean-up operations.
    • Anticipate attendee needs and prepare against potential risks.
    • Develop metrics and post-event reports on the effectiveness of each event.


    NATURE AND SCOPE

    The Events Planner will report to the Digital Marketing and Communications Manager. As part of the Americas team, this position will frequently work with BAC sales leaders, global business development, graphic designer, product marketing, R & D, exhibit vendors and sales representatives.

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business, or Communications.
    • 1-3 years of experience in events planning.
    • Experience in project management with a track record of successful events including tradeshows.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Creative, out-of-the-box thinking.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Expert time management skills
    • Financial savvy, with the ability to adhere to plan budgets and process invoices.
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint
