Trade Show Manager manages the execution and logistics of trade shows and exhibitions to achieve business objectives. Develops and manages a comprehensive event project plan for all setup tasks, promotional items, literature, bookings, and other details. Being a Trade Show Manager approves the design, layout, cost estimates, and construction of exhibits and displays. Negotiates with vendors and service providers for best arrangements within budget. Additionally, Trade Show Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Trade Show Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Trade Show Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     We’re currently seeking a highly motivated people person and animal lover for the full-time Trade Show Lead position within our Show Team. As a Show Team member, your hard work will ensure our attendance at reptile trade shows is successful, inefficiencies are identified, and our Show Team members are held accountable. Your primary responsibilities will include leading trade shows, supporting the Show Coordinator in show organization, and training Show Team members, as well as helping build and sustain business relations with our partners, prospective buyers, and other vendors.

    • Full-time, 40 hours per week (with occasional overtime), ever-changing schedule released at least two weeks in advance
    • $16 to $18/hour, commensurate with experience
    • Constant travel across the continental United States (up to three times per month, minimum of 20 events and 100 travel days per year) is required

    Day-to-day tasks include:

    • Leading trade show operations
    • Support the Show Coordinator in show organization (booking, scheduling, coordinating)
    • Improving the show process to improve customer experience, revenue, and profitability
    • Training Show Team members
    • Traveling across the United States (perfect opportunity to go herping, see National Parks, visit landmarks, try interesting cuisines, and meet new and interesting people)


    For this position, you MUST possess:

    • Willingness to travel across the country (away from home for extensive periods)
    • Open availability due to changing schedules and constant travel
    • Leadership experience
    • Sales and/or customer service experience
    • Ability to obtain a chauffeur’s license and DOT medical card
    • Substantial problem-solving skills
    • Strong communication skills
    • Extensive experience with phones, tablets, computers, and POS


    Special consideration is given to those with:

    • Trade show experience
    • Professional out-of-state travel experience
