Traffic Director leads and directs the traffic department to efficiently and safely move materials and products to designated destinations. Develops and maintains transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency and minimize delivery costs. Being a Traffic Director evaluates and selects appropriate transportation carriers and routes. Resolves delivery issues for both internal and external customers. Additionally, Traffic Director monitors, analyzes, and reviews loss and damage claims and makes recommendations for improved safety. Oversees costs and processes to adhere to budgets. Ensures compliance with all DOT/OSHA guidelines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Traffic Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Traffic Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Job Description:
Restoration laborers & operators: perform manual labor related to hard surface restoration (concrete and asphalt) or soft surface restoration (topsoil, seed, mulch, straw matting, hydro seeding). This involves restoring disturbed surface areas such as road, curb, sidewalk and lawn/turf areas to their original pre-construction state after utility system improvements or other civil construction that required excavation took place.
Restoration Foreman / Crew leader: will be responsible for overseeing daily operations at worksite to ensure the completion of projects in a safe efficient manner and maintaining crews’ production goals. Monitoring assigned fleet, equipment, tools and supplies. Complete and submit daily work production sheets to manager/supervisor. Maintain open line of communication with manager or supervisor.
