Traffic Supervisor supervises employees who make deliveries to and from specified locations. Oversees transportation activities including route assignments, route delivery, and account processing. SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Accounting Supervisor will plan and direct the day-to-day accounting activities of the department with guidance from the Assistant Controller.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
· Manages the AR and AP staff who are responsible for billing, collections and payments.
· Assists with hiring accounting and financial staff and conducting performance evaluations.
· Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Daily bank account review with postings to the General Ledger via journal entry.
· Daily preparation of Purchase Orders needed with Monthly review process to ensure proper Receipt of Goods and PO closures.
· Weekly preparation of Cash Flow forecasts
· Assists with monthly financial close functions.
· Files sales & use tax and other local taxes with necessary government institutions.
· Oversees the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
· Identifies and resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
· Assists with monthly balance sheet reconciliation.
· Ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
· Assists with annual budget preparation.
· Assists with preparing PBC list for year-end audits.
· Performs ad hoc analysis, projects and duties as requested or assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
· Proficient with Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills.
· Proficient in accounting software. Experience with Sage 100 and NetSuite a plus.
· Excellent management and supervisory skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
