POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Application and Support or designee, the Information System Training Program Manager runs the user training program for Information Systems. The role is responsible for all EMR application user training. The Program Manager needs to have a strong clinical, financial and technical background to be effective in managing the EMR training and testing program. Experience with teaching or previously leading adult education is preferred. The role will coordinate trainers and training sessions as well as oversee the development of class curriculum. There will be the expectation to also teach classes and develop or oversee the distribution of multi-media training materials such as drop-in sessions, presentations at team meetings, tip sheets, and online and in-person classes.
The program manager will utilize knowledge, skill and experience in optimizing and maintaining the EMR Training program. The program manager will develop and maintain a positive working relationship with all departments to ensure that training needs are met. This position works under general supervision with the ability to work various shifts during system go-lives and upgrades. The program manager will be responsible for assisting in supervision of training curriculums and will provide constructive feedback and collaboration with analyst or informatics.
