Summary: Responsible for all aspects of facility and transportation management, including planning, evaluating, and maintaining building systems, the physical plant/building and transportation assets. Reports to and works in concert with the Executive Director.

Duties and Responsibilities

Facilities management:

• Performs required duties to support the functionality, safety, and sustainability of building, grounds, infrastructure, and real estate to include overall building operations like cleaning, security, maintenance, and grounds management.
• Plan and coordinate with vendors/suppliers for maintenance and or improvements on building and grounds.
• Develop and implement a detailed schedule for routine maintenance on the building and its grounds.
• Occupancy and space management: Work with appropriate agencies i.e. Fire Department and other appropriate agencies to ensure regulations and guidelines are adhered to and compliance standards are met.
• Assess and recommend improvements to support employees’ and PEP members’ experience.
• Assess and make recommendations for operational efficiencies to include energy management to facilitate efficient use and minimize costs.
• Assess and manage risks to facilities & employees.
• Emergency management and business continuity to include return-to-work processes and policies.
• Emergency and disaster mitigation and response.
• Real estate management and space planning.
• Assist 39 Sheridan Park Circle Association (the regime for buildings one and two) with agreed-upon maintenance for the physical plant under the responsibility of the regime.

Transportation/vehicle maintenance:

• Manage, plan, direct, and oversee the operation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of a fleet of motor vehicles.
• Coordinate and implement a detailed schedule for routine maintenance on each vehicle in accordance with manufacturer's technical manuals, vehicle warranty requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Track and ensure standards for accurate reporting of utilization, operation, and maintenance cost by vehicle unit.
• Maintain liaison with area vehicle dealers necessary to effect repairs and corrections under vehicle warranty. Coordinates delivery of vehicles for recalls, service, and/or maintenance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Assist Executive Director with interviewing, hiring drivers.
• Conduct performance evaluations of drivers that are timely and constructive.
• Coordinate the activities, schedules, and provide leadership to drivers.
• Works with the Executive Director to ensure that staff are trained and maintain good driving records.

Additional Requirements:

• Possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license and have a clean record with DMV.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting up to 50 pounds and ability to work outside.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
