Transportation Manager manages and coordinates the daily operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Implements operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Being a Transportation Manager monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiencies. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to meet forecasted capacity needs. We are seeking a full-time Transportation Manager Coordinator/Dispatcher to collaborate with our General Manager and be a part of our team at our new Quincy, MA Office. TRANSPORTATION MANAGER COORDINATOR/DISPATCHER WITH STUDENT TRANSPORT DISPATCH AND ROUTING EXPERIENCE NEEDED.
Daily Functions include, but are not limited to:
Receive work requests from school departments and enter information into our system
Plan routes for daily transport
Monitor drivers and change routes when necessary
Direct the activity of drivers and monitors to ensure timely completion of work
Oversee drivers and resolve driver issues and requests
Assist with the new hire and their 7D application process (School Pupil Transport Endorsements)
Reviews daily driver assignment boards and monitors and adjusts daily operations schedule as needed.
Ensure route and operator productivity
Maintain a clean workstation and contribute to a healthy and clean work environment
Report to the General Manager and the CEO.
Qualifications:
Logistically Capable,
Exhibit excellent telephone etiquette and listening skills
Ability to multitask while paying close attention to detail, work under pressure, and time-sensitive deadlines.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with a variety of personalities, customers, and employees
Excellent team working skills
Computer knowledge of working with various programs
Must have a valid driver's license
Have or can obtain 7D Pupil Certificate
