This newly created position can by located in New England, as a hybrid or remote.

As the Treasurer/Controller, you will be a pivotal leader growing and overseeing accounting operations, financial planning, treasury and reporting activities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating and managing all accounting policies.
• Maintaining and evolving the chart of accounts to match business practices.
• Managing outsourced accounting functions.
• Leading the monthly close process.
• Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing/payment processes.
• Handling corporate financial planning and analysis.
• Building and evolving the company’s treasury management functions.
• Monitoring and complying with financial covenants.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for stakeholders.
• Collaborating on project finance and corporate fund-raising activities.
• Overseeing the annual audit process and tax return preparation.
• Engaging enthusiastically in various projects as we grow in the rapidly changing world of energy transition.
• Hire and grow a team of financial professionals.

What our client needs from you:

• Extensive knowledge of accounting practices and principles in renewable energy finance.
• Zeal for pursuing new opportunities with financial integrity, using problem-solving and creativity.
• Curiosity to understand and question first principles, identifying true risks.
• Strong financial planning, budget preparation, analysis, and financial statement presentation skills.
• Experience setting up and evolving ERP systems, preferably Sage Intacct.
• Audit preparation and process management experience.
• Federal, state, and local income, property, and sales tax management experience.
• Highest personal and financial integrity to ensure trust with colleagues, management, investors, and financial partners.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or equivalent (master's degree ideal);
• A desire to innovate and avoid the status quo.

Compensation range: $150,000-175,000. This salary range represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, and other relevant business considerations.
