Primary Responsibiliti

• esApplies and interprets underwriting guidelines & rating rules in the evaluation and pricing of a risk with limited supervisio
• n.Contributes to the profitability of the business through the underwriting of new and renewal applications
• . Determines appropriate coverages and rates and prepares quote document
• s.Makes logical and precise recommendations to the carrier when require
• d.Provides ongoing service and account maintenance for multiple programs and/or product
• s.Assists with projects as neede
• d.Ensures that all regulatory, compliance and transparency requirements are met and complies with all internal policies and procedure
• s.Manages workload within established service levels and/or production requirement
• s.Handles less complex accounts typically for one P&C progra
• m.Has limited underwriting authority and works within pre-stated rating structures as defined by the carrie

What you need to ha

• ve:Underwriting background and experie
• nceDemonstrates an entry level understanding and application of P&C underwriting acum
• en.Insurance Industry experience prefer
• redHigh School Dipl
• omaMust be Property and Casualty Licensed or pass licensing test within 1 y
• earProficient in MS Excel and W
• ordAbility to work well in team-based environment with a positive attit
• udeExcellent written and verbal communication skil
• ls Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environm
