- PRIMARY FUNCTION: Purchasing and sales of marine used parts and or machines for refurbishment and resale. Identify and prepare components and parts for inventory; Assist with the direction and coordination of the warehouse activities in a manner that achieve standards of performance, security of parts inventories, and the maintenance of storage facilities and equipment, as well as, maximizing service to customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Workflow Leadership Identify parts for purchase and resale from current websites. Inspect equipment and or parts for purchasing. Purchase parts using current GPEC guidelines. Unload and load equipment and components efficiently and safely. Sees that refurbished parts requirements are filled and delivered on time. All receiving, storing and distribution activities are carried out in a professional manner and are kept within safe warehousing procedures. Ensures all orders are processed for delivery or pick-up promptly and efficiently. Makes certain that all incoming parts are processed properly, loaded, and received into inventory. Sees that personnel in work group are kept informed of changes in procedures and paper flow as it affects your part of the overall operation. Maintains a professional businesslike manner and appearance. Assists in training new employees. Responsible for accurate warehousing of cores used for rebuild or to be return to the supplier. Returns goods are inspected warehoused and received into inventory. Inventory discrepancies are identified, reported and minimized. Maintenance Maintains clean and orderly appearance of teardown space and warehouse. Maintains all Used Parts road vehicles, lift trucks serviced and washed according to company policy Load and unload freight efficiently, correctly, and safely. UNIQUE DEPT. DUTIES Flexibilitymaintains all website memberships and to post sales on all to include GPEC used parts section on GPEC website. MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS: Education: High School Graduate Work Experience: Two years of related experience with at least one year of warehousing experience or related similar work experience with Gregory Poole Equipment Company; or at least two successful and stable years performing routine mechanical repair, assembly, loading and unloading machines. Physical:Must be able to daily and repeatedly stoop, kneel, bend and climb underneath various equipment, to perform inspection activities. Must be able to effectively see to perform job duties, research technical manuals and provide quotes for repairs. Must be able to handle parts up to 50 pounds, as well as use mechanical hoist for heavier components and parts. Other:Field activities require a valid state driver's license (obtain within 30 days of hire a valid license within the state of GPEC’s operation) and possess a safe driving record, as outlined in our GPEC Motor Vehicle Policy. Some vehicles may require having or obtaining a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Must have key boarding exposure and versatility. Travel to inspect machines for purchase is a must and will be frequent. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Your supervisor may request and assign you similar duties. Any major modification of this job role requires Human Resources approval.
