Vice President of Accounting jobs in Connecticut

Top tier $80B Asset Management Firm with offices in CT and NYC seeks VP Corporate Accounting to manage 4 staff, reporting into the Corporate Controller.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of four accountants with responsibilities including but not limited to general accounting, financial reporting, and liquidity management
• Manage firm liquidity and prepare cash reporting package for presentation to Chief Financial Officer
• Collaborate with auditors to complete year end audits for domestic and international entities.
• Assist with quarterly and annual tax filings as well as regulatory filings as necessary
• Assist with monthly, as well as ad hoc, Finance and Financial Planning projects
• Preparation of monthly financial statements

Requirements

• 10 yrs of accounting experience, CPA preferred
• 2 years of people management experience
