Vice President of Finance and Accounting

The VP of Finance and Accounting will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, implementing and maintaining effective internal controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to the management team.
Responsibilities Include

Prepare consolidated monthly financial statements and associated analysis including sales, customer and divisional analysis

Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.

Coordinate with departments and complete the annual Budget

Prepare supporting schedules for the preparation of company's consolidated federal, state and local tax returns.

Monitor financial performance, identify areas of concern or improvement, and recommend corrective actions to ensure the financial stability and growth of the association.

Prepare and distribute financial management reports

Review and approve Payroll information, complete quarterly deposits and reconcile annual W-2 forms.

Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.

Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.

Coordinate with various departments regarding their accounting needs and communicate that information effectively.

Banking & treasury management and controls

Ensuring financial reporting complies with GAAP and other standards

Managing cash disbursements through accounts payable, credit cards and reimbursements
-
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard the association's assets and ensure accurate financial reporting

Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.

Perform related duties as required
Required

Bachelors Degree
-
MBA or CPA certification preferred.

A minimum of 8 years of experience

Healthcare experience a plus

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and cost accounting principles.

Ability to effectively and efficiently analyze business problems and prepare cost studies.

Ability to organize, prioritize and manage several projects simultaneously.

Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in written form, with a variety of individuals and situations, and resolve conflicts as needed.

Strong computer and problem solving skills.

Ability to interface with all levels of employees.
Hours and Location
-
Full Time (40 hours/week).
-
Remote position. Up to 25% travel.
