Established communications company is seeking an experienced VP, Business Development to join their executive team. The VP, Business Development will be a pivotal role in aligning the sales efforts with technology partners and lead a dynamic sales team to achieve sales targets.
The VP, Business Development will be responsible for the following:
- Lead a high-performing sales team across United States.
- Recruit and develop a top-tier enterprise sales team.
- Achieve growth and meet sales targets by managing and coaching the sales team.
- Work collaboratively with the executive management team to establish the company’s strategic goals and direction.
- Provide coaching, direction and accountability to those directly supervised
- Network with individuals and organizations in the telecommunications industry in order to better understand future industry direction, build a network of resources and assist with the recruitment of sales and marketing positions.
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
VP, Business Development must have:
- 10 years of sales leadership experience within telecommunications / cloud based business
- Knowledge and contacts/network/ability to add new business
- Professional and assertive demeanor with a proven record of leadership and reliability.
- Experience developing and implementing sales strategy required.
- Competitive edge, complemented by innovative and decisive problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in CRM platforms, with a focus on sales forecasting and activity management.
- Must understand cloud services
- Ability to travel
- Bachelor’s degree
