Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Video Editor gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Job Summary/Description:
KNOE seeks a Video Editor/Digital Producer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day video and radio editing of our newscasts and develop content for all our digital platforms.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Edit video on a deadline, working with producers to create dynamic and informative newscasts
- Produce content for KNOE.com, and promote our coverage on social media feeds
- Adapt to breaking news
- Edit audio newscasts for use on radio broadcasts
- Occasional operation of studio teleprompter and various other duties as assigned will be required
Qualifications/Requirements:
- The successful candidate will be creative, extremely detail-oriented, and have very strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and communication skills
- Positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced and dynamic environment under deadline pressure
- Able to work well with a team
- Flexible to work mornings, nights, and weekends
- Able to sit and stand for extended periods
- Computer literacy is a must
- Strong grasp of visual design, grammar, and spelling
- While previous television experience is preferred, it is not required
- Experience with HD video production, social media platforms, ENPS, and non-linear editing systems is a definite plus
