The Video Editor mixes and masters audio. Edits video footage to desired length and format, creates motion graphics, and completes color corrections. Being a Video Editor archives and stores all files, footage, graphics, and audio. Encodes final videos to desired size and format. In addition, Video Editor proficient using Adobe Creative suite and production software including After Effects and Final Cut and other editing software. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Video Editor gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. We are looking for an assistant video editor to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches director’s vision. Ultimately, as a film and video editor, you should be able to bring various elements together in order to tell a brands story.
Duties
•Edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
•Take a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specifications
•Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
•Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
•Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
•Create rough and final cuts
•Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
•Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process
Skills
•Solid experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar
•Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
•Creative mind and storytelling skills
