Local high volume firm seeking Process Servers in Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia. Our company has been depended upon to serve legal documents for more than 30 years.
Role description:
We are looking to add highly motivated, efficient, and reliable individuals to our team of Process Servers as Independent Contractors with our firm. You drive your own car and set your own schedule (based on our flexible time parameters). We provide everything else you need.
Full time/Part time Process Servers:
Full time and part time Process Servers manage an assigned area or collection of zip codes within a county. All cases received in that area will be either picked up from our office, mailed, or emailed for the process server to print.
All cases must be attempted within 7 days of receiving and attempted a minimum of 3 times. The 3 required minimum attempts must vary among 4 different time windows that are identified as AM (8:00 am – 12:00 pm), Afternoon (12:00 pm – 5:00 pm), Evening (5:00 pm – 9:00 pm), and weekends (8:00 am – 9:00 pm)
Information must be accurately recorded into an app and onto a field sheet that accompanies each set of documents to be served. All field sheets must be returned to the office via drop off or mailing once cases have been worked to completion.
Qualifications
-Must be 18 years of age
-Must have valid Driver's license, insurance, and personal vehicle
-Must pass background check
-Must have smartphone
-Must be able to meet strict procedures and time sensitivities
-Must be willing to visit office or complete mailings once a week
-Must be willing to appear in court if necessary
Pay:
Paid flat rate per completed service of documents ranging between $18-$25 per serve. This varies with considerations to experience, availability, and area. DC Landlord Tenant matters have a different unique pay scale which will be discussed.
