Warehouse Manager manages warehouse operations and processes. Oversees receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. A locally owned tile and stone company is seeking a full-time warehouse worker for our Honolulu operations in the Airport Industrial Area. We are a fast-paced retail and wholesale company. Must be able to lift 60 pounds and assist in loading and unloading freight and materials in the warehouse and storage yard. Must be able to obtain or already have forklift certification for LP sit-down equipment at a minimum, have a clean driver's abstract and current driver's license, and be able to obtain or already have TWIC card.
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions, do basic math, possess basic computer skills and be familiar with Word and Excel, adhere to a high standard of cleanliness, have a good attitude, and be able to work with customers and staff. Must be trustworthy, reliable, and responsible, possess excellent communication skills, have a good attitude, have strong safety awareness, and be self-motivated. Must also be able to pass pre-employment and consistently pass random drug tests.
Duties will include scheduling and unloading freight from containers and delivery trucks. Counting/cycling/labeling inventory and storage in our warehouse. General housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment plus assist in counting and quality checks of inventory in warehouse and slab yard. Data entry and preparation of logs of material arriving, cycled, and leaving the warehouse. Preparing and loading sold orders for pick up and onto customer's vehicle or delivery to port to ship to the neighbor islands. Other duties, including regular inspection of equipment, can and will be assigned by the sales or warehouse leads as necessary.
Hours are 7 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday, closed on most major holidays. The position is open immediately.
Previous building material handling experience is preferred. Equipment used includes both electric and manual pallet jacks, LP sit down forklifts of various capacities, booms, clamps, flatbed, and pickup trucks. Work will be in a storage yard and non-air-conditioned warehouses.
