Ensures sites remain scalable while complying with performance and security standards. Additionally, Web Applications Developer updates site content based on input from marketing and documents changes in source code. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager. The Web Applications Developer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Our Marketing department is hiring a web developer who has a solid understanding of PHP, WordPress, Liquid and Shopify to maintain our "Made In America" eCommerce sites. We will even pay to relocate the right person to Idaho. Our company does everything in-house, from inventing and manufacturing products to distributing them worldwide. We even do our graphics, photography, and video in-house. If you enjoy designing websites, getting involved, and seeing projects through from start to finish, this is the place for you.
Job Details- Design, build, and maintain web sites for Inventive-Group’s associated companies: In The Ditch, Fish Fighter Products, Razorback Offroad, and Inventive Products.
- Write supporting code for Web applications or Web sites.
- Develop applications with intuitive user interface.
- Evaluate code to ensure that it is valid, properly structured, meets industry standards, and compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
- Ensure consistent quality in all web applications released.
- Maintain understanding of current Web technologies or programming practices through continuing education, reading, or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups
- Collaborate with management or users to develop e-commerce strategies and to integrate these strategies with Web sites.
- Work with the Marketing Department to develop marketing strategies.
- Register Web sites with search engines to increase Web site traffic.
- Provide clear, detailed descriptions of Web site specifications, such as product features, activities, software, communication protocols, programming languages, and operating systems software and hardware.
- Minimum 2 years of recent hands-on coding and software design.
- Solid understanding and experience with PHP, WordPress, Liquid, and Shopify.
- Setting up and managing a client-server development, staging and production environment.
- Solid understanding and experience with Git, React, MySQL.
- Highly organized person who enjoys multitasking.
- A track record of projects completed on time.
- Knowledge of copyrighting, or the ability to produce coherent instructional text/ad copy.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and a self-starter.
- Additional experience a plus HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, e-commerce, jQuery, Node.js, graphic design, Adobe Creative Suite, experience with 3rd party APIs.
- Occasional standing and walking required along with constant operating of computer
- Must be able to occasionally carry objects weighing 20 pounds
