Women's Athletics Director directs all facets of a university/college's women's athletic program, including intramural and intercollegiate sports. Manages the entire women's coaching staff. Being a Women's Athletics Director schedules use of facilities, transportation, and sporting events. Also responsible for fundraising, publicity, ticket pricing and distribution, and purchase of new equipment. Additionally, Women's Athletics Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Women's Athletics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Redline Athletics - Idlewild is a 13,000 square foot Sports Performance Training facility located in Charlotte, NC off Albemarle Road. Our center includes an indoor turf field, full-length batting cages, half basketball court, and a state-of-the-art strength room. While we focus primarily on semi-private group training youth athletes 8 to18 years old, we also offer 1-on-1 skill instructions, team training, and sport specific training for youth athletes.


    Our training programs offer clients the ability to improve their performance and reduce their risk of injury in a dynamic, fast-paced, and enjoyable training environment. As the Director of Sports Performance, you will inspire and empower the people in our community to make positive health choices and change their lives by joining our team and creating a fun, high-energy atmosphere where youth athletes can train like the pros.


    Responsibilities of this position include implementation of the Redline training programs; member retention through outstanding training performance and communication; and extensive outreach and marketing skills.


    Our new Director of Sports Performance (DSP) should be an enthusiastic and experienced coach with impressive leadership ability. They must enjoy working with clients of all ages and abilities, with a passion for leading & coaching Youth Athletes. We are looking for a coach who is extremely high-energy, motivating, passionate about health & performance, and ready to make a difference in each client’s life. Training is provided.

    • Can deliver exceptional client services by leading dynamic and engaging training sessions
    • Can conduct safe and effective group training sessions

    • Can master our signature training programs and modify as needed for individual clients
    • Can pay attention to each client’s form, safety, and emotional state and provide guidance, correction, and or feedback as needed
    • Will go the extra mile to make sure every client feels personally recognized and cared for

    • Will effectively lead and empower the entire staff of coaches

    • Will work consistently with passion, purpose, and a desire to learn and grow


    The perfect candidate will be someone with…

    • At least 2 years experience training with clients either one-on-one or in a group setting; and/or collegiate/professional athletic experience
    • At least 2 years experience in the human performance field, is CSCS certified, experienced leading a staff of trainers
    • A passion for coaching youth athletes
    • Experienced manager with a background in the human performance field, a skilled communicator, invested in developing and maintaining strong relationships within the community
    • A passion for helping people reach their goals
    • A great attitude and people skills
    • A strong work ethic
    • Excellent verbal communication skills backed by good writing skills
    • A bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Nutrition or a related field (Preferred but not required)
    • A passion for sports, health, and human performance
